Overview of TICNSW
The Tourism Industry Council NSW is the peak tourism industry organisation in New South Wales and represents some 7,000 industry operators across the State. New South Wales generates approximately a third of Australia’s total tourism and thus contributes more than $20 billion and 180,000 jobs to the State’s economy.
TICNSW aims to help the tourism industry in New South Wales remain the number one tourism destination in Australia and is primarily an advocate for all companies with an interest in tourism. It works with government, industry and community stakeholders to boost investment, employment and promotional opportunities for tourism throughout the State.
We have undertaken a range of key programs with the aim of helping the New South Wales tourism industry improve its business success, including presenting the NSW Tourism Awards which in 2011 had a record number of entries, great industry support and the Awards Presentation Dinner, which attracted around 700 guests to a spectacular night of celebration.
