Summary of the Awards
The NSW Tourism Awards are presented by Tourism Industry Council NSW (TICNSW) and proudly supported by Destination NSW. Now in their 24th year, the Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses that have demonstrated outstanding achievement and success throughout the year.
The Awards are a submission and inspection-based program and provide the opportunity to publicly recognise and showcase the State’s finest tourism operators. The Awards have 31 categories across the industry spectrum – attractions, festivals and events, ecotourism, tour and transport operators, marketing and accommodation and outstanding contribution from individuals.
Entry to the 2013 NSW Tourism Awards is open to all
New South Wales tourism operators.
The NSW Tourism Awards aim to:
- Encourage and celebrate creativity, professionalism and innovation
- Provide a benchmark for best practice within the tourism industry
- Promote business planning amongst New South Wales tourism operators
- Encourage the continual raising of standards
- Publicly recognise and reward excellence
- Reinforce the value of the tourism industry
- Reinforce consumer confidence in the tourism industry
- Promote an annual platform of celebration for the industry and offer networking opportunities for operators, supporters and sponsors alike
- Provide the opportunity for successful entrants to progress to the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards

Friday 2nd August 2013 – Close of Nominations for the NSW Tourism Awards 2013
Monday 2nd September 2013 – Submissions due for the NSW Tourism Awards 2013
Tuesday 8th October 2013 – NSW Tourism Awards 2013 finalists announced
Thursday 28th November 2013 – NSW Tourism Awards 2013 Dinner & Ceremony at Randwick Racecourse
